OUR PURPOSE

Oyster mushrooms are still unfamiliar to many Indian households. We want to make them easier to understand, easier to cook and easier for local businesses to introduce—through honest education, practical support and responsible cultivation.

THREE WAYS TO BEGIN

Know it.
Cook it.
Grow with it.

02

Cook it

Use familiar Indian flavours. Oyster mushrooms work beautifully in masala, tikka, pulao, noodles, soup and stir-fries.

03

Grow with it

Retailers, restaurants and new growers can build demand together while supporting local production and livelihoods.

START IN YOUR KITCHEN

Four familiar
ways to try it.

Cook oyster mushrooms thoroughly. Tear rather than over-slice, keep the pan hot and avoid crowding for better browning.

15 min

Garlic pepper oyster mushrooms

High-heat sauté with garlic, black pepper, a little salt and lemon.

25 min

Oyster mushroom masala

Tear into clusters and cook with onion, tomato and familiar Indian spices.

20 min

Crispy mushroom tikka

Marinate, skewer or tray-roast until the edges are deeply browned.

25 min

Mushroom pulao

Fold sautéed mushrooms into aromatic rice for an easy family meal.

EVERYONE HAS A ROLE

One initiative.
Many participants.

01

Families

Try one simple oyster mushroom meal and learn how to choose, store and cook it.

02

Retailers

Help shoppers understand freshness, flavour, storage and everyday cooking uses.

03

Restaurants

Put a locally relevant oyster mushroom dish on the menu and introduce it with confidence.

04

New growers

Explore responsible cultivation as a practical local livelihood opportunity.

FOOD WITH LOCAL POTENTIAL

From agricultural
by-product to value.

Oyster mushrooms can be cultivated on suitable lignocellulosic agricultural materials under managed, hygienic conditions. This creates an opportunity to turn low-value material into food, skills and local enterprise—when production planning and market development move together.

Our promise

We promote oyster mushrooms with practical food knowledge—not miracle claims. Nutrition information is educational, natural values vary, and food is not a substitute for medical care.
